6/30/14
Oh my goodness!! It's finally July!!!! Happy happy day! :) President Shumway has given us special permission to stay out until 10 to watch fireworks with members/less actives and I shall be taking advantage of that! :) I'm gonna miss all of you on Friday and we aren't allowed to handle fireworks so it'll be my first year without doing sparklers but the Lord is worth it I suppose hehe. This week has been crazy! We have gigantic spiders ALLL OVER THE PLACE!!! Not inside, but outside of our house and everyone elses...it's disgusting. I though that there was just a clump of dirt or something on someone's door but no! It was actually like 30 super huge long legged spiders clumped on top of each other. Wasn't that a treat to realize! Also, We had one of our recent converts get interviewed for her temple recommend and to receive her patriarchal blessing and she "passed" both! We'll be going with her to the temple on July 10th! Which is also the day that our primary is going to the temple. It's really cool actually. They're taking the primary kids and all of their families to the temple to have lunch on the grounds and then a member of the temple presidency is gonna come talk to them dressed in his temple clothes, and they actually get to go inside and sit in the waiting room. Plus, they're gonna stop by liberty jail. Isn't that cool?
It's like a 4 hour drive and when we tell our investigators about it they're like: "All that way for lunch?" And we're like "yes! That's how important the temple is to us, because that's where families can be together forever." :) SO ya, cool stuff. And yes! Mom I did get that bracelet but I was really confused casue the address said Arizona and rhianna and I had no idea what to think haha so did you order it? I really love it! Thank you! :)And abby is HOME???!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! That is CRAZY awesome! Did you guys go see her homecoming talk? I can't believe that! I actually can...it slightly feels like forever haha. And Kenya is leaving soon??!!! Wow. Life just keeps on scootin along. I sent her a letter today so hopeflully she gets it before she leaves! Also, I think you all should know that my Spanish is getting better, a little bit at a time. I can actually say medium decent prayers haha. Sister Gilbert, the traveling sister training leader that came down to spend the day with us Saturday said that we only have two Spanish speaking sisters in our mission and one is going home at the end of this transfer...who knows, maybe I'll be transferred to the Spanish ward somewhere. Scary but awesome. Oh! And we also had an AMAZING branch fireside last Monday. Our branch mission leader, brother jim coley is AWESOME! We watched the John tanner story...SOOOOO good. You guys should really watch it. It helped me realize how little faith I really have in Jesus Christ and I realized that I have been relying on myself and not him way too often. I'm working on that now by learning of his life, his atonement, and his love for ALL mankind. I guess it helps to know somebody before you completely trust them. I will definitely be working on that, because as of right now I can't fully say that I KNOW the Savior. We all have places of improvement though I guess. Well, I think that's about it. Mom? You kept all those letters I sent home with your present right? I'm keeping them ALL. They mean a lot to me. Maybe stick them in a tub or something in my room...if it's still my room and not a gigantic walk in closet or something ;) OH YA!!!! BEST NEWS OF ALL!! We've started to volunteer at this thrift store that gives all of their money to a non-killing doggie shelter and we get 4 doggie bucks every hour we volunteer!!! AHHHH!!! Which means we get $4 in store credit haha in addition to the clothes that have like little hole or stain or something on them...IT'S AWESOME!!! A sister missionaries dream haha we're accepting bribes from other sister to find things for them with our doggie bucks :) tehe it's a beautiful thing really. I already got a new sweater, hoodie (which was unnecessary but hey it was free!), two new dresses, and a new top! AHH! Fun times haha. I mean teaching the gospel is great, but you can't beat doggie bucks;) Ok, now I think that's all. THank yous to Manda! I LLOVED MY PACKAGE!!! You're the BEST! :D I got glitter everywhere and had a little party with myself haha I'll try to stick a picture on here. And also thank you to Erma and Grandpa and everybody. I LOVED my package from you guys too. I literally sobbed when I read Grandpas hand card. I am keeping that safe FOREVER. I have the best family in the WORLD. I love all of you SOOOO much! Happy 4th of July and eat lots of watermelon for me! ...just kidding I'll probably still be doing that! :)
Love you forever,
Sister Moreno
